The family "Placetron" has only one known species, and that is "Placetron wosnessenskii", more commonly known as the "scaled crab". It has a soft, leathery abdomen, and can be green or red. It can also have bands of colour along its legs. Its chelae are sort of spoon shaped, so it basically has a portable emergency spoon. They also sometimes carry sea anenomes on their backs.
This photo was also taken by Neil McDaniel in Jervis Inlet, British Columbia. So this is yet another crab you might see if you go diving in BC!
